나 야구 좋아하는거 맞나봐!!

그렇다. 요즘엔 통 야구를 즐겨 보지 않는다. 

생각보다 한경기를 보는데 시간이 오래 걸리기도 하거니와 사회인 야구를 접은 이후에는 

야구에 대한 관심도 서서히 줄어들고 있었던것이 사실이다. 

 

요즘엔 유일하게 보는 야구프로그램이 최강야구 이다. 

 

시즌2가 이제 막 시작했는데 

오늘 오랜만에 야구를 보면서 환호성을 질렀다. 

 

최강야구는 은퇴한 프로야구선수들이 참여하여 아마팀, 프로야구2군팀과 경기를 하는 스포츠예능인데

한참 야구를 좋아하던 시절의 전성기. 그것도 내가 좋아하는 팀의 선수들이 많이 출연하고 있어서 꼭 찾아보는 프로그램이다. 

 

오늘 시즌 첫 경기에서 백전노장 정성훈이 만루홈런을 터트렸다. 

김성근감독이 조선의 4번타자 이대호를 뒤로하고 믿음의 야구로 정성훈을 4번타자로 기용했다.

40대의 노력이.. 초심으로 돌아가서 손바닥에 물집이 생기면서까지 연습했던 그의 겨울동안의 노력이 

고척 돔 구장 좌측 담장을 넘겨버렸다. 사실 실천하지 않고 움직이지 않아서 그렇지 은퇴를 한다고 해서 모든것이 끝나는건 아니다. 언제라도 다시 시작할수 있고 더 잘할수 있다는 것을 알게해준 장면이다. 

 

에이스는 죽지 않는다. 끝없는 노력은 에이스를 다시 살아나게 한다. 

지난한해 스스로를 회사에 에이스라고 생각했다. 

사실 그 이후에 올한해 스스로 에이스로 살고 있지 않다.

(회사의 오랜 관행상 2년 연속 에이스로 인정하지 않기 때문인걸 잘 알아서이다.)

 

사실 작년에 엄청 노력하고 좋은 성과를 냈으니, 올 한해는 스스로에게 쉬엄쉬엄 지내야 겠다고 생각했다. 

 

나 자신에게 부끄럽지 않게 그냥 모든 일에 최선을 다하자. 
누군가가 알아준다는 것은 더 없는 영광이겠지만
나 자신에게 인정받는 것이 더 없는 영광이라고 느끼며..

모든 상황에 맞게 잘 풀어나갈수 있는
내가 되어야 겠다고 생각이 드는 하루다.
